ANDERSON COUNTY, TN

Coal is still mined in Anderson County. Located northwest of Knoxville, it was formed
from portions of that and Grainger Counties in 1801. It was named for
Joseph Anderon, a US Senator from Tennessee. The county seat is
Clinton. The majority of the nuclear town of Oak Ridge is located in the county.

Places and things I've seen in Anderson County:

Devil's Triangle scenic route
Norris Dam and Lake
Fraterville Mine Disaster Memorial, Lake City, May 19, 1902
Cross Mountain Mine Disaster Memorial, Briceville Dec 9, 1911
Thank you for visiting my scrapbook.

All photos were taken by me on my many journeys, from 1985 to present.
Please enjoy them, but don't steal them for your own use without proper credit.
