Westover Plantation-William Byrd Gravesite
Charles City County, Virginia

The home of William Byrd II is located "next door" to the Berkley Plantation of the Harrison's. William Byrd II was the founder of Richmond, and he had this home built in 1730. Byrd died in 1744 and is buried in the middle of the large gardens to the west of the house.
