Large, well-kept city cemetery of the city of Gallatin. Burial place of Tennessee Governor William Trousdale. Cemetery has a monument built to honor veterans of the Mexican War(1846-48), completered in 1850, restored in 2000. There is also a Confederate Memorial and section of Confederate burials. Also buried here are Revolutionary War soldiers Capt James Trousdale and Zaccheus Wilson. Location: Cemetery Ave at Winchester St Visited: October 29, 2005 |
