Blackman Cemetery

Rockvale Quadrangle. This small cemetery is out in the middle of a field. Surrounded by a limestone wall, I've rarely seen it cleaned out. When I finally ventured out to it, the growth made it difficult(and painful) to get photos of all the markers. Located here is the grave of Alfred Blackman, for whom the community of Blackman is named, his wife, mother and most of his children. His father, James, is said to be buried in the Blackman Cemetery off Shores Rd. His oldest son, Raiford, and his family are buried in the third Blackman Cemetery, which is south of Manson Pk, about a mile southeast from this one.
