#1 Abernathy Cemetery

Readyville quadrangle. Located on Old Woodbury pk near Kittrell school. About 10 graves. Surnames include Abernathy, Jones, Puryear and Tillford. Oldest known grave is Allie Abernathy, 1867-1868.


#-Adams Cemetery

Smyrna quadrangle. Located on Independent Hill Rd, just east of interesection with Paw Paw Springs Rd and right next to Christopher Cemetery. About 20 graves. Surnames include Adams, Layne, Spain and Harrell. Most graves were fairly recent(last 20 years) so I did not photograph them all. The oldest grave I saw and photographed was Lonnie Adams, 1942-1942.


#2 Adams Cemetery

Lascassas quadrangle. Located off Browns Mill Rd, behind home, private property. About 7 graves. Surnames include Adams, Bryant and Freeman. Oldest known grave is William J Adams, 1840-1881.


#3Adkerson Cemetery

Formerly Gladeville quadrangle. Was located off Harbor Drive north of Jefferson Pk. Moved in the 1960s for the Percy Priest Lake/Dam project to Mt Juliet Cemetery in Wilson County. About 19 graves(2 marked, 17 are marked as "unknown"). Surnames are Adkerson and Tucker. Oldest known grave is Samuel P Tucker, Nov 12, 1846-Jun 13, 1870. Other marked grave is Maud Rose Adkerson, twin daughter of John H and Sallie Adkerson, Feb 17-Sep 12, 1872.


#4 Akin Cemetery

LaVergne quadrangle. Located on Stones River Ct, between railroad tracks and Old Nashville Hwy. Surrounded by warehouses now. About 8 graves. Surnames are only Akin. Oldest known grave is Bettie E Akin, 1850-1891.


#5 Alexander Cemetery

Fosterville quadrangle. Located on Josephine Dr just west of Midland Rd. About 20 graves. Surnames include Alexander and Leatherman. Oldest known grave is Eliza Leatherman, 1813-1835. Gate had a sign that said "No Trespassing" so I only took one photo from street.

#7 Alexander Cemetery

Dilton quadrangle. Located off Elam Mill Rd(dirt road), just south of old Elam Mill site. Out in a field in thick brush and trees. About 30(only 3 marked) graves. Surnames include Alexander and Thompson. Oldest known grave is Infant son of DW & J Alexander, Dec 14-25, 1851.


#8 Alford Cemetery

Walter Hill quadrangle. Located off East Fork Dr somewhere in subdivision(I've looked and looked and have not located it yet). About 7 graves. Surnames include Alford, Pierce and Thompson. Oldest known grave is Nancy W Alford Thompson, 1825-1860.


#9 Alsup Cemetery

Lascassas quadrangle. Located off Holly Grove Rd behind a home. About 18 graves. Surnames include Alsup, Hayes, Huddleston, and Lester. Oldest known grave is John Alsup, Mar 1-July 28, 1867.


#10 Anderson Cemetery

Dilton quadrangle. Located off W Gum Rd, east of old Elam Mill site, on private property. About 3 graves. Surnames include Anderson, Burge, and McGill. Oldest known grave is Martha Burge, 1786-1866.


#11 Arnett Cemetery

Readyville quadrangle. Located on Bivins Hill Rd near intersection with Wilson Hill Rd. About 18 graves. Surnames include Arnett, Hoover, Sanford and Pitts. Oldest known grave is Sinthy Arnett, 1862-1886(pictured below).

#12 Arnold Cemetery

Beech Grove quadrangle. Located off Burks Hollow Rd not far from Burks Cave on private property. No stones are left here, no sign that there is even a cemetery. No other information.


#14 Ashley Cemetery

Readyville quadrangle. Located off E Lyon Rd, west of Cripple Creek Rd. About 11 graves. Surnames include Ashley, Lowe, McCrary, Prater, Nesbitt and Crunk. Oldest known grave is Mary A Ashley, 1827(only date).
