History: established in May 1872 when the city of Murfreesboro acquired 20 acres from the Maney family(Oaklands Mansion) which included their slave graveyard. Now encompassing over 100 acres and with around 25,000 burials. Any graves with dates prior to 1872 have been relocated from other parts of the county.
