WILSON CEMETERY
WILLIAMSON COUNTY

Located on raintree Pkwy, just north of where it comes off the newly renovated Wilson Pike, and just northwest of the soccer fields at Ravenwood High School.

This small cemetery was located when cabins were being torn down to build Ravenwood High School in 2001/2. There are no readable headstones here, only a few fieldstones and one funeral marker for a 17yr old boy who died in 2005. It is unclear what-if any-his relationship is to the Wilson's.

The family of James Hazard Wilson II, who built the Ravenswood mansion located about a half mile south of this cemetery, is supposedly buried at Ravenswood(his father is listed in this cemetery as well). The family of his son, Joseph, are said to be buried in this area as well, but I cannot confirm the location of either Wilson Cemetery and whether or not this is an entirely different cemetery. The only two Wilson Cemeteries listed in the Cemeteries of Williamson County, Tn that are said to be located in this general area are the ones of James H II and Joseph. James II's son, James Hazard Wilson III owned the home, Inglehame, which is located on the east side of Wilson Pike, nearly directly across from Ravenswood. He was married to the daughter of Confederate General Felix Zollicoffer, and they are buried in the family plot in Nashville Old City Cemetery. Another son, Samuel, owned the home Century Oak(Oak Hall)-about a half mile north of this cemetery- and some sources says his family cemetery is located there. All three home were built by James Hazard Wilson II.

Until I can confirm locations of the cemeteries that I have the transcriptions from, I cannot say who may be buried here. I have only come across one archived newspaper article mentioning this particular cemetery, and it says there are approximately 15 graves here. That is all I know. I will continue to do research and will update the page when I learn more information.
