Gen THOMAS OVERTON CEMETERY DAVIDSON COUNTY |
Located in Old Hickory, Davidson County, near the corner of Bryan and Donelson avenues. As you can see from the photos, the graves here have been broken, probably vandalized, and are very old and difficult to read. Names on the tombstones(aside from Gen Overton) are speculated on.
![]() GENERAL THOMAS OVERTON 1753-1825 Gen. Thomas Overton served in the Revolutionary War and as Inspector of Revenue in NC, the same position held by his brother Judge John Overton in Tenn. He was one of Gen Jackson's seconds in duel with Chas Dickinson.
