| We did not tour Beauvoir, the former home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, but I look forward to doing so in the future. I did take some photos from outside the locked gate of the cemetery. I would liked to have visited the cemetery only, but the gate was locked, and I did not see another way in other than paying for the "tour".
UPDATE: As of August 29, 2005, thanks to Hurricane Katrina, Beauvoir, the home of Jefferson Davis, has been all but destroyed. I have not found any updates regarding the cemetery yet. |
