Harper Cemetery
Harper's Ferry, Jefferson County, West Virginia

This beautiful historic cemetery is located at the top of a hill overlooking the small town of Harper's Ferry, which sits at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, and where the states of West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia meet. The town was founded around 1747 by Robert Harper, who also set aside this land for the small cemetery. The graves in the small rock-walled area(seen in the last photo on this page) are that of Harper and Wager's-the family of Harper's niece, his only heir.

Location: Filmore St, can also be accessed from the town by a one mile walking trail up the hill
