Welcome to Kimshockey.com
A photo scrapbook covering many areas, from the many road trips I've taken throughout the southeast.
Civil War sites, cemeteries, national and state parks, scenic roads, zoos, big cities and small towns, from beautiful to unusual!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate
And though I oft have passed them by
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon East of the Sun

Update: January 4, 2010

Happy New Year's to all! I hope to be adding much more to the site in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I hope to be adding photos to each of my blogs each day.

The last few months of last year were not very good for us. On our fall trip to the Smokies, our daughter fell and broke her wrist again-the same one she broke back in April. We also didn't have much time to get out on any road trips, though we did see the Burial of an Unknown Soldier in Franklin, Tennessee in October and a small Battle of Franklin reenactment in November.

Update: September 29, 2009

School is back in session, fall is here. I've been so busy.

In the last weeks of July, the a/c in our home died, so the kid and I spent a couple of weeks at my mom's place near Knoxville. I have many, many photos from the Smoky Mountain area to add. We are also planning another visit in a few weeks to see the fall colors in the Smokies.

We attended a Tennessee Titans pre-season game in August. The Titans prevailed over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27-20.

Explanation of domain name...

Well, ok then! when I bought the domain name many years ago, I had originally planned on this being all about hockey, including the many, many photos I have taken from years of hockey games I have attended. And my name is Kim, so it was "Kim's Hockey"....kimshockey. The historical and vacation photos however have taken over, to the point where I don't even have any hockey on here at the moment! But the name remains the same.
